Categories of Competitiveness • Most Competitive: 97+ GPA, SAT 650-800 each sec. • Highly Competitive: 93+ GPA, SAT 600+ each sec. • Very Competitive: 85+ GPA, SAT 550+ each sec. • Competitive: 80+ GPA, SAT 500+ each sec. • Less Competitive: under 80 GPA,SAT under 500 each sec. • Noncompetitive/Two year colleges: HS graduate, must submit SAT or ACT scores The above GPA and SAT score ranges are approximate, and may change from year to year.
How Do My Numbers Compare Colleges consider: • Grade point average & SAT/ACT • Honors/AP courses • Senior year schedule • Extra curricular activities • Special talents
What College Majors Interest Me? • Choice of Major: i.e.: engineering, architecture, physical therapy, nursing, etc. Vs. • Liberal arts/undecided
