  2. Prezi What Is It? Prezi is a presentation tool that shows concepts in a creative way using text size and movement. Basic Facts • EduEnjoy account is free with valid school email address • Create presentations online or download onto your desktop • Choice of making presentations public or private • Insert pictures (JPG, GIF, PNG formats accepted) • Insert videos (You Tube and FLV formats only at present) • Insert PDF documents

  3. Reading Ideas Reading Strategies Use text and pictures to model good reading strategies for struggling readers. Nonfiction Use brief text and charts to demonstrate how to read for information

  4. Additional Ideas for Reading • Present an introduction to poetry • Show examples of current word study or sounds with pictures • Model how to create an outline for a research paper • Create a review of reading comprehension for the story of the week

  7. Jog the Web What Is It? Jog the Web is a web tool that allows you to create a slideshow of websites in one place. Basic Facts • Free account with email • Each web slideshow is called a “jog” • Simply type the address of the websites and the site • Websites are “live” in presentation mode

  8. Reading Ideas Grammar Jog Group your favorite websites to present a grammar review. SOL Reading Review Review test items by visiting SOL review sites.

  9. Math Ideas Fraction Unit Group your favorite websites to organize sites for a fraction unit. Math SOL Review Create a place for all of your favorite SOL review websites for the nine weeks and end of year assessments.

  10. Glogster EDU What Is It? Glogster is a website that allows students and teachers to create a poster with graphics and text for comprehension of content or simple creativity. Basic Facts • With basic account, a teacher can create accounts for students • Once a student logs into their account using a special username and password, they can create a Glog • Some features are limited in basic account • Students don’t need an account to create a poster • If teacher wants access to student Glogs, • accounts will need to be set up

  11. Reading Idea Parts of a Story Students can use explanations and pictures to demonstrate their understanding of story structure. Poetry Students can publish their poem on a poster.
