Missouri School Improvement Grant (MOSIG) The Missouri School Improvement Grant (MOSIG) is a three year initiative that engages the lowest 5% of performing schools by restructuring processes to support Closure, Restart, Turnaround, and Transformation models that ultimately improve student learning and academic success.
SIG Core Components *One-time funding for the initiative (SIG) **School continues funding (depending on identified priorities/needs) ***District continues with a different funding source
3-Step Sustainability Planning Process Building Capacity: Improving the Instructional Core, Attendance, and Discipline Identify Priorities Assess Academic Return on Investments Develop an Action Plan Conduct Needs Assessment Use Data to Assess Impact Link Key Strategies Identify Key Turnaround Strategies and Programs Identify Funding Gap Abandon High Cost/Low Impact Initiatives
