History • NJ DOE Pilot District -- 2000 • Must have a local mentor plan • Must have a rigorous training component for mentors • Trained nearly 400 mentors over the last five years
New Opportunity • Teacher Quality Enhancement Grants to districts • Link Mentoring and Induction • Link programs to the NJ Professional Standards for Teachers

Vision Statement • The South Brunswick School District sees the teacher as the key to the attainment of school, district, state and national educational goals, and specifically the enhancement of student learning of the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards.
Vision Statement • Therefore, the South Brunswick School District will support teachers, through a comprehensive, district-wide program, including mentoring, in achieving personal, school, and district goals in meeting NJ Professional Standards for Teachers.
