EL Classification • Plan in place to identify, by name, students that are stuck or have negative movement to increase awareness and focus attention on these student • Conference with classroom teacher/ELD teacher/sped teacher
1. Used data and information from common assessments, Study Island, and DIBELS to analyze and reteach 2. Used PLCs to collaborate/ articulate next steps, in respect to analyzing data, re-teaching/ reflecting, incorporating best teaching strategies. 3. Top 3 action steps • 1. Bear Valley Team will use Benchmark Assessments/ Scope and Sequence, and new EADMS Reports to identify what is working and not and strategically plan for re-teaching at each grade level. • 2. Professional Educational Leaders will be using PLCs to collaborate/ articulate next steps, in respect to analyzing data, re-teaching/ reflecting, incorporating best teaching strategies. • 3. Bear Valley is having educational workshops for parents in both Math and Language Arts by grade-level to discuss overview of Power-standards, Frontload information on upcoming cycle Assessments, and educate parents with technology to assist their children at home.
Focus of Walk-throughs • 1. When planning as a grade-level, teachers will ensure their Classroom environment has a mirrored Daily schedule, to ensure EL time, UA time, Intervention time is met within the school day. • 2. Teachers are continuously planning/ creating/ reflecting on learning environment such as LA and Math Focus walls. Students use Focus walls as visual support/ reference to master academic vocabulary. Teachers have posted power standards/ objectives to confirm what is being taught and why, with daily activities of small groups, centers, and differentiated instruction supporting the daily objectives. • 3. Teacher planning is reflected by the use of technology, Smart board lessons, organizational templates, and engaging best teaching strategies to promote student achievement Check and Monitor scope and sequence/ Look for DII Lessons • 1. Are teachers aligned with scope and sequence, (administrator to question progress) • 2. Are teachers re-teaching/ reflecting on best teaching strategies and differentiating instruction • 3. Is the principal questioning how teachers are driving instruction and how/or why they are using instructional strategies.
Monitoring eld 1. Teachers will collaborate to provide ELD / UA rotations (within classrooms). Teachers will become familiar with CELDT levels, Reclassification Criteria & Monitoring R-Feps 2. Filter CST / Benchmark / AR / Report Card data for ELL students & discuss with administrator @ PLCs 3. Teachers will utilize ELL student scores showing sub skills and strands & use information for interventions

1. Bear Valley Principal will Conduct home visits to communicate concerns of student attendance/ Behavior, I will use our Bear Valley school liaison to conduct SARB Meetings and offer parent workshops on helping improve student attendance. These workshops are to educate parents on the importance of attending school daily and our liaison will conference with administrator on student attendance weekly. 2.. Having trimester assemblies with staff and students to discuss behavior and celebrate students with good attendance and behavior, ensuring we celebrate the students who have regular attendance and good behavior at Bear Valley. 4. Have educational workshops on “Bullying” for students and staff with our school counselor to bring awareness and consequences to bullying. Improving attendance & reducing suspensions and expulsions
