    What are Pre-Academies? A career academy includes the following essential elements: A small learning community supported by a local advisory committee A career theme that includes a college-prep curriculum and lead to industry certification Partnerships with employers, the community, and higher education
  4. Why Pre-Academy at LHMS? State/District initiative for student exposure into academy based studies prior to entering into high school academies State/District initiative for students to earn high school credit and streamline into high school academy of choice State/District initiative providing Lakeland Highlands Middle School to receive funding for programs through CTE academy relationship State/District initiative providing Lakeland Highlands Middle School to compete with surrounding academies maintaining reputation as a rigorous learning environment

  6. S.T.e.A.M. (formerly Accelerated) Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics academy to enhance their academic learning with rigorous instruction, preparing them for higher learning. Students, who are enrolled through 8th grade, enjoy project-based, inquiry-based learning while earning up to five high school academic credits including Foreign Language. 3.0 GPA in academics FCAT Trend Data Teacher Recommendation
