  1. Assessor & Moderator Registration Updates 27 JUNE 2019

  2. New Registration Criteria Assessors must have a relevant qualification and a minimum of 5 years direct occupational experience in the field that the applicant wishes to assess. OR be a subject matter expect and have at least 5 years direct occupational experience in the field that the applicant wishes to assess and membership registration with a relevant professional body. Moderators must have a relevant qualification and at a minimum of 5 years direct occupational experience in the field that the applicant wishes to moderate and have 2 years assessment experience with the INSETA or another Quality Assuring body.

  3. Registration End Dates Assessor and Moderator registration end dates have been amended until 30 June 2022,to accommodate qualification last date of enrolment. Scope letters and certificates reflect the new registration end dates.

  4. Incomplete Assessor & Moderator Applications There is an increase in the number of incomplete assessor & moderator application forms received by the ETQA due to the Following: None submission of ETDP SETA statement of results Certified copies of full qualifications obtained by the applicant Lack of Comprehensive CV Initial and signed INSETA code of conduct Applications are evaluated twice a month

  5. Contractor Database List of INSETA registered Assessors and Moderators is available on the INSETA website. These individuals can be contacted to provide Facilitation, assessment & moderation services

  6. Best Practice INSETA will be hosting Assessor& Moderator forums in Gauteng, KZN and Western Cape during the months of September and October 2019. Going Forward INSETA will require that Applicants applying for Assessor and or Moderator re registration demonstrate proof of on going professional development. (CPD)
