  3. Start Times/Lunch Hours • School Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. • “A” Lunch 12:00 – 12:25 • “B” Lunch 1:00 - 1:25 • The school building will open at 7:30 for breakfast • No fast food deliveries are permitted for students.

  4. Dress Code“Shows Unity for a Common Goal—Success” • Navy Blue ATA Polo • Black, Khaki, or Navy Blue Docker-type Pants • Black Leather Lace up Shoes • Tucked in Shirt • Black Belt • No Earrings for Boys • No Large Jewelry for Girls (no larger than a quarter) • ATA Sweatshirt • NO PURSES IN CLASS ***See Student Handbook for complete description***

  5. ID Cards • Must be visible at all times • Used for dances and lunches • Failure to wear them = • 30 minute after school detention • $5.00 to replace

Student Parking Rules • Students must comply with the following requirements: • - Possess a valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operators License and vehicle registration. • - Park only in the designated student parking area. • - Adhere to the 10 M.P.H. speed limit while on school property. • - No reckless driving. • - No squealing tires. • - No loud music. • - Obtain parking permit from security personnel. • Failure to comply with these requirements will result in revocation of parking privileges

  18. PASS System • Parents can access grades, attendance history • Letter will be sent home with passwords.

  19. Attendance Policy • Call the High School Office (Lindsay Stefanski) at 313-625-4694 to report your student’s absence. • If you do not report the absence, it is considered “unexcused”. • Turn in a note to the High School Office upon your student’s return. • Ten absences in any semester will lose credit in the class (extenuating circumstances will be take into consideration) • Every 3 tardies will be considered an absence from the class. • ***Please see Student Handbook for full details***

  22. Community Service • Required for graduation • 10 hours per year that you attend ATA

BOOK RETURN • Student must sign out every text book. • Student must return book at end of semester in order to take the final exam in that class. • If the student loses or misplaces their text book, they must pay for a replacement before taking their final exam. • Student must return the same book number at the end of the semester. • Some books are class copies, students must sign out a class book with the teacher.

  24. Parents – What you can do. • Discuss the Student Contract and the Parent Contract • Ask about homework • Ask student to see their grades for tests/assignments • Be aware of tests and assignments from syllabus or teacher websites • Contact teacher immediately when there is a problem through ATA e-mail • Come to parent-teacher conferences and parent nights • Talk to your student about the importance of doing a good job in school • Tell student they are to be on time for class and in proper dress code • Ask for a conference before you see a failing grade • Tell student they are accountable for their education and learning
