Early life • Patrick was born on May 29,1736 at Studley Farm. Patrick’s parents were Sara and John Henry. He was the second child of eleven. He studied at a one room school, and his father taught him too. His favorite subjects were math and history. He loved guns and hunting more than books. He liked fishing ; he would sit by the creek for hours. When he was 15 he worked as a clerk in a country store. After a few years no body came. They had to close.
Adult life • Patrick married Sara Shelton on October 1754 in the parlor of their home. After the fire destroyed his house, he quit farming and moved to the town. Patrick died in Charlotte county , Virginia in 1799 from stomach cancer.
Major Accomplishments • Patrick spoke out against the Stamp act. He was delegated to the Continental Congress. He was the first governor of Virginia and re-elected 4 times.
