Mr. Tolbert Room 236 RULES & PROCEDURES
The Art courses here at PVHS have been tailor-made to make sure you succeed. If you are a natural born artist, or have only mastered the stick figure, you will learn from the past and prepare for the future.
# 1: RESPECT for the Classroom • Attendance: • You must be here for 60 out of the 90 minutes to be counted present for the day. • Any absences over 5 results in a loss of credit for the class. • Tardies: • If you are not inside the classroom when the bell rings, you are tardy! • After 4 tardies, you will receive an after school detention.
Being “close” or “almost there” still counts as a tardy.
Bathroom Passes • Class break: • Each class will have a 5 minute break near the 45 minute period (except during 2nd lunch). • Students will be able to use the restroom during this period. • Hall Passes: • Students will be able to use the restroom or retrieve something from their locker up to 4 times per semester outside the break period. • After your passes are gone, you may substitute a hall pass for a 15 minute detention.
No exceptions to the hall pass rule. Even if you do this. Use your passes wisely.
Seating • Be in your seat with your supplies when the tardy bell rings. • You may leave from your seat once I have dismissed the class. • DO NOT stand at the door and wait (once you have put up your materials).
