  2. Hmm… where should I begin…. AHA!! I’ll start with the music industry!

  3. With a vast amount of artists, producers, record executives and labels, it comes as no surprise that the music industry is so widespread • The whole world is tuning in to the music industry!...well not the WHOLE world, but you get the point Music Industry

  4. But.. There is a cost to make it big… • You can’t simply make it in the music industry with great talent. • You must have some kind of revenue to fund for advertisement of your music • There was once a time when an artist could get signed to a label just for having amazing talents. • But those days are GONE!! • You can’t simply make it in the music industry with great talent. • You must have some kind of revenue to fund for advertisement of your music

  5. Hmm.. What other media industry can I discuss….. Aha again! I’ll discuss the movie industry!

  6. Movies! • Movies also have a huge industry. Plenty of movie theatres and cinemas are spread all over the world. • Average budget for a film is dependent “on the genre of the film, size of distributor releasing the film, and time of the year the film is released” (Ralph, 2013, Hollywood Movies). • Marketing should be accounted for, in order to achieve commendable success at the box office

  7. Ticket and budget rises • Movie budgets and ticket prices have increased over the years. • A key factor in this rise is the large increase in movies that offer IMAX and 3D viewings. • These versions are more expensive than regular viewings.

Nowadays, movies are kind of free… for those who know how to access them illegally • Movies were once only viewable by payment. • Fast forward to the present day and you will find that the latest movies are available for stream online. • Has placed a negative impact on movie ticket sales • No surprise there! People choose to watch the movies online instead of paying to see them in theaters.
