Rough Draft • MUST BE HANDWRITTEN! • Transfer the quotes from your outline into paragraphs. • Add at least 2 sentences of commentary for each quote. • Make sure that each quote has a proper quote set up. • Identification + Explanation + Quote + Citation • Oedipus demonstrates hubris when he stated, “…there is not one of you whose suffering is as mine” (Sophocles 5).

Peer Edit • Be sure the introductory paragraph contains a thesis statement. • Refer to the outline and make sure that each paragraph contains an appropriate quote for each part of the outline. • Make sure each quote has a proper quote set up and parenthetical reference. • Make sure the commentary for each quote explains why the quote is a good example of the term and how it connects to the topic sentence for the paragraph. • Spelling and grammar

  8. Final Draft • MUST BE TYPED IN MLA FORMAT • #12 font • Times New Roman or Ariel • Staple the rough draft and the outline to the back of the final draft. • The final draft is due Monday, October 1st. • 500 points possible!
