Impasse • Noun • A position or situation which there is no escape; deadlock. • We were going to be in an impasse if we didn’t do our community service, knowing we would have to repeat the grade.
Jargon • Noun • Unintelligible or meaningless talk or writing; gibberish. • Every time I have a conversation with a gang member, it is always jargon words coming out their mouth.
Deter • Verb • To discourage or restrain from acting or proceeding. • In class, people cant deter the reckless things they do which causes them to get in trouble.
