Conclusions (I) - “European Urban Agenda” as an unfinished (on-going) process - Impact of EU Urban policies at two levels: - European: territorial cohesion and key role of cities for Europe - Local: impact of program in the area and knowledge • process (introduction of new practices both at local • an national level) - Key role of URBAN CI in this process → EU as active agent

Conclusions (II) • Innovation and knowledge (experiences, practices…) exchange as main legacy of URBAN CI • Multilevel governance as key element in the introduction of new policies (practices) in urban regeneration • New challenges introduced by economic crisis: • Increasing urban disparities, poverty and segregation • Lack of resources (cuts in national programs for urban regeneration) • New tools and ideas are needed!!
