When are opportunities for intervention? • When behaviors, thoughts or feelings create ongoing pain, and/or impairment in functioning, ask for help! • Lots of tools and resources available to identify specific behavioral health impairments- most require training and oversight- work with your team and leadership to determine means of problem identification and referral practices

Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County • The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is responsible for the planning, funding and monitoring of public mental health and alcohol and other drug addiction services delivered to the residents (adults ages 18 and over, and children) of Cuyahoga County. • The ADAMHS Board does not provide services directly to consumers and clients, but contracts with provider agencies to deliver services that assist consumers and clients on the road to recovery. • ADAMHSCC contracts with over 70 alcohol, drug addiction and mental health service providers in Cuyahoga County.

SCALE for UNINSURED ADULTS What is SCALE? SCALE (Screening, Centralized, Assessment, Level of Care Assignment and Engagement/Linkage to Treatment) program was developed to: * Create a single point of entry into the community mental health system to better serve uninsured adults with behavioral health needs; * Improve the utilization of limited non- Medicaid funds.
SCALE:Opening Doors to Treatmentfor the Uninsured1-877-236-8676 Offering a single point of entry to Cuyahoga’s community behavioral healthcare system, expediting the enrollment process and reducing the waiting period between assessment and treatment.
The SCALE Program • The SCALE Program is for individuals seeking mental health services who are new to the community behavioral healthcare system and meet the following minimum qualifications: • SCALE is not intended for individuals who have private health insurance, or for those who have already been linked to treatment or an agency in the community behavioral healthcare system within the past six months, except for crisis services. • Who does SCALE serve? - Cuyahoga County residents - 18 years of age or older - Uninsured - Requesting services

Eldercare Services Institute, LLC • ESI is a contract agency of the ADAMHS Board • SCALE carve-out for the Elderly (55 and up) • ESI provides MH Assessment, CPST, MH Counseling and Partial Hospitalization (Medicaid only) • All services provided in the community • Referral Phone line 216-791-8000
Alcohol & Drug Addiction (AOD) ServicesCentralized Assessment • Centralized Assessment was developed to reduce the Board’s waiting list for “community” assessment and to maintain a reasonable time period for obtaining an assessment within 3 days. • Hitchcock Center for Women is providing AOD assessments for the network. • When an AOD agency can’t complete an assessment within 3 days of receiving an inquiry for services, it refers the caller to Hitchcock Center for Women (216-421-0662).
Alcohol & Drug Addiction (AOD) ServicesCentralized Assessment • The Centralized Assessment Overflow will : • Complete an assessment • Offer Case Management services to clients who are waiting for a treatment slot. These services are limited to providing linkage to treatment by securing an appointment with treatment providers and providing clients with a point of contact if they are waiting for treatment. The case management services are intended to address linkage issues and not treatment needs.
