Reserve Modernisation Workshops • Purpose: Optimise Reserve contribution to Army's capability as part of Total Force • Method: Three stage plan (stages overlap) • Stage 1. Workshops (ARes/ARA 1*) x 2 • Stage 2. Consultation (esp. after RMW01) • Stage 3. Development via FMR for inclusion in Plan BEERSHEBA SUAKIN
RMW Endstate Optimal Reserve contribution to capability based on clearly articulated Reserve roles and tasks which are fully understood throughout Army. Supported by: institutionalised consideration of the appropriate use of Reserve capability embedded at all levels of force design; improved understanding of Reserve characteristics (and the opportunities and limitations inherent in these); and the use of specified design principles to bridge the gap between Total Force concept theory and force design implementation.
