  1. Pin the Quote on Atticus Objective: To collect and evaluate evidence in support of an interpretive claim analyzing a character based on textual evidence

Step by Step Group Collection • Skim the chapters you are assigned • Find descriptive narrative about Atticus, dialogue, or actions by Atticus • Write the citation (quotation) and page number on your graphic organizer • Explain what the quotation reveals about Atticus • Write the quotation with the page number • Be prepared to discuss what this quotation reveals.

  3. Share and Collect • As each group presents their findings, collect the first four words and a page # on your graphic organizer • “ You just hold your…” (100).

  4. Literary Analysis Prompt • Write a well-developed essay that describes the kind of man and father Atticus is.
