Measuring Impact 3 • In UoE terms, our impacts ought to be on the three top level strategic goals of Excellence in R, L&T and KT/C • We might do this directly or indirectly thru impacts on enabling themes • We don’t have to judge the *value* of the impacts, we can leave that to others Measuring Impact, 4 February 2010
Measuring Impact 4 Broad headings under which IS impacts could be classified: • innovating to permit new ways of ‘working’ • ensuring stability in processes thru reliability, availability of services & facilities • reducing costs/duplication, eg shared services, high efficiency systems • helping users to ‘work’ more efficiently/effectively • protecting against damage/loss/legal action etc • informing strategic decision-making • maintaining/enhancing UoE reputation • Others might be??
