The desert The desert is a really hot place it is dry, abandoned, lifeless and sunny. The size of the desert is 3,500,000 square miles long it is almost the size of the United States. The Sahara desert is 172.4 degrees. Do you know that 10 feet below the desert is loads of water.
Desert animals There are loads of animals living in the Sahara desert like death stalker scorpion, sidewinder snake and spiders. There is many animals in the desert like Anubis baboon, Barbary sheep ,Barn owl ,Brown-necked fan-tailed ravens, Cape hare ,Common jackal, Dama deer, Desert eagle ,Desert hedgehog ,Dorcas gazelle, Dromedary (single-humped camel), Gerbil ,Jerboa Libyan ,striped weasel, Lizards, e.g. chameleon Nubian, bustards Oryx ,Ostrich ,Pale crag, martin Raptor ,Rattlesnake, Sand fox ,Sand lark, Scorpion ,Secretary bird Slender and mongoose, all live in the Sahara.
Deathstalker scorpion Deathstalker scorpions are yellow in colour and can grow up to 4.5 inches in height. One of most interesting Deathstalker scorpion facts is its ability to change colour with the surroundings. It does that to stay undetected so that it’s prey doesn't recognize it.
