  2. Needs: Decorticating machine One (1) hectare lot as processing area Shed (500 sq m) 600 hectares of coconut plantation Truck or Jeep with trailer 16-hp Diesel engine Access road Ample fresh water source

Expectations Expectations from the Academe • Design and fabrication of decorticating machine • Community organizing work • Product development • Coco fiber • Coco peat • Bottle cleaner, shoe brush, doormats, small brooms, etc. • Bags/kits/hats • Organic fertilizer • Organic pesticide • Particle board • Particle reinforced concrete (PCHB, etc) • Conduct training-workshops on • Project proposal preparation • Values orientation • Capacity building

  4. EXPECTATIONS Expectations from the LGU • Community mobilization and participation • Funding for the establishment of the working shed • Strict enforcement of RA 8548 preventing cutting of coconut trees • Replanting of coconut farms • Seedling production and dispersal • Allocate funds for the project • Formulation of municipal ordinances • Designate 1 project officer or 1 lead person for the project

  5. EXPECTATIONS Expectations from the SME • Provide 1 ha area for coco-coir production • Operation of the project • Act as a point person in the operation of the project • Partner entrepreneur will take charge of collection of raw materials • Provide the jeep with trailer and power units
