  1. U G.O.T. 3 Blocks

  2. U G.O.T. 3 Blocks C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB We are a multiple offense loosely based in the Wing T, and very heavily based in Television. I however am a die hard Markham Believer!!!!!!!! I began coaching at the youth levels and over the past decade have used Wyatt’s G.O.A. blocking as well as Jerry’s double # 2 concept for the power play. But I found the standard G.O.A. lacking and I found I had more to teach for running other plays using Val’s System.

  3. U G.O.T. 3 Blocks C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Which lead me to experiment with “in the hole” line calls back in 2000. I ran the basic blocking system then as I do now with the older youth players. Following that I moved into High School coaching. And as an O-Line coach I believe that using a combination of “rule blocking” and “in the hole” line calls has allowed our linemen to be relaxed and CONFIDENT regardless of the play called or the backfield action.

  5. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Numbering and Partner Blocking 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 Linemen are numbered, and we run at the tail pad of the called lineman. The called lineman is responsible for alerting his partner ( THE NEXT OFFENSIVE PLAYER TO HIS OUTSIDE) of the blocking technique the two of them will use at the point of attack. The called technique will be one of 3 calls. {X = cross block between the two with outside man going first}, { SPLIT = split up the partnership and default to base blocking}, { COMBO = a half man double team block by the two, with the inside partner looking for any inside blitzing defender.}

  6. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Base Blocking Explained 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 Base Blocking is this; Any play side blocker BETWEEN the called “at” man and the center will use Gap On Track blocking as a rule. And ALL blockers outside the “at” man’s partner will block the first second-level defender to their inside.

  7. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Base Blocking ExplainedG. O. T. 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 G. O. T. rule blocking is simply explained as a series of checks off’s for the linemen.

  8. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Base Blocking ExplainedG. O. T. 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 G. O. T. rule blocking is simply explained as a series of checks off’s for the linemen. Gap = If there is a defender in my INSIDE gap I must block him first and foremost.

  9. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Base Blocking ExplainedG. O. T. 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 G. O. T. rule blocking is simply explained as a series of checks off’s for the linemen. On = If there is no defender in my inside gap I then check ON me, “within my shoulder pads, and on the line of scrimmage”, If so then I must block him.

  10. C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB Base Blocking ExplainedG. O. T. 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 G. O. T. rule blocking is simply explained as a series of checks off’s for the linemen. Track = If there is no defender in my gap nor is there a defender on me I must then track at an inside angle toward the second-level of the defense and block the first ugly color I find.

  11. Putting it all together 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB A 4 HOLE PLAY HAS BEEN CALLED We know the right tackle is the “ at ” man and he will be responsible for telling the right end { his partner } what the blocking call is to be.

  13. Putting it all together 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB A 4 HOLE PLAY HAS BEEN CALLED We also know the right guard will be using base { G. O. T.} blocking progression

  14. Putting it all together 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB A 4 HOLE PLAY HAS BEEN CALLED We also know the right halfback will block the first second-level defender to his inside.

  15. Putting it all together 1 0 9 7 5 3 2 4 6 8 C LE LT LG RG RT RE QB LH RH FB A 4 HOLE PLAY HAS BEEN CALLED Back to the hole now. At the point of attack we understand that the right tackle { the “at’ man } will make a call to the right end to signify how the two of them are to block the point of attack.
