Leila Woodhouse, Health Officer, from the National lesbian, gay and bisexual charity, Stonewall, will be delivering training on ‘Understanding the needs of lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) cancer patients and their partners and carers.This training will cover the research findings regarding cancer and lesbian, gay and bisexual people – including awareness, screening, cancer rates and experiences of care, as well as ways to improve the care we provide lesbian, gay and bisexual cancer patients.All staff are invited to attend this free training which will take place on Friday, 28th February 2014 in Room 6 at the PGEC, City Hospital campus.One hour sessions will run at the following times throughout the day.10 – 11 am, 11.30 – 12.30 pm, 1.30 – 2.30 pm, 3 – 4 pm, 4 – 5 pmIf you would like to attend one of the sessions, please book a place with sally.marks@nuh.nhs.uk
