IT Standing Committee Meeting September 09, 2003 Project Announcement • Report Re-Engineering program has been approved • includes: • deploy tools to automatically generate XML documents (includes reports) • deploy a secure FTP site for access by people and by machines • redesign all reports to XML standards and retire all CSV, EDI, and HTML documents • repackage report content into more informative documents • deploy some new documents (for example, generator output data) • selected features • full versioning of all automated documents • more granular security for report access • all XML

IT Standing Committee Meeting September 09, 2003 • Progress to Date • Automated document standards stakeholdered and published (see IMO web site) • Automated Document System (ADS) designed, built, just entering testing and expected in service by late Fall • XML demonstrations to various stakeholdering groups in progress • File Routing Enhancements complete and in service in Sept 9 Release
IT Standing Committee Meeting September 09, 2003 Stakeholdering • technical interface standards with ITSC • will it be a secure FTP, secure shell, other protocol? • details of document access security granularity • document set (by subject?) priorities with MOSC • what should we work on first: price reports, energy reports, system status reports, settlement documents, invoices? • What document sets should we be defining? • for each document set, IMO proposes: • to invite participation and form focused market stakeholder groups rather than consume time in the standing committees • time commitment and stakeholder task schedule to be defined before focus group formed to ensure project progresses and that committed active stakeholders participate
