Charter schools receive more flexibility from school boards to pursue a higher level of student achievement than public schools Have the option of choosing their own school zones Can lose school charter if they are underperforming No admissions criteria as far as test scores or recommendations Receive public funding Do have an enrollment cap Performance is evaluated by governing board
