LifeChange Becoming Who You Were Designed to Be 5 Truths to Embrace For LifeChange
Theme Passage 2 Peter 1 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great & precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
LifeChange- To experience personal transformation through living out Biblical principles. For the purpose of living a life up to the potential that God has designed for His followers & desires us to fulfill.
LifeChange Process Salvation + Purpose + Training + Community = LifeChange
1) The title “Christian” is not enough- James 1 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness & overflow of wickedness, & receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
1) The title “Christian” is not enough- James 1 22 But be doers of the word, & not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
Just because we are believers in Jesus does not entitle us to live the abundant life that He promised. LifeChange has to be embraced to be experienced.
Dick Vermeil, Super Bowl winning head coach said… “If you don’t invest very much, then defeat doesn’t hurt very much & winning is not very exciting”
1) The title “Christian” is not enough- James 1 Am I relying on being a Christian for LifeChange or am I focusing on actually being a Christian to attain LifeChange?
2) I am a work of God, making progress- Phil 1 6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
To embrace LifeChange we need to see ourselves as someone who has not arrived, doesn’t have all the answers or have life all figured out… but believe that I am capable of making progress.
“Being uncomfortable is not always a sign of pain, often it is the sign of progress”
2) I am a work of God, making progress- Phil 1 Do I trust in the work God has begun or do I have to have it all in order to feel secure and happy?
3) I have to expand my worldview as big as God’s- Psalm 24 1 The earth is the Lord's, & all its fullness, The world & those who dwell therein.
It can be hard to make much progress when your world is too small. Expanding what I believe are my limits, gives me room for LifeChange.

4) I have to work to improve my “followership” skills- John 14 4 And where I go you know, & the way you know." 5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, & how can we know the way?"
4) I have to work to improve my “followership” skills- John 14 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, & the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
When we have limited understanding of where life is going, we need to know, & stay close to the one who knows the way & is the way to experience the LifeChange God has designed for us.
Romans 4 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 & being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform
4) I have to work to improve my “followership” skills- John 14 Am I following God close to experience LifeChange or am I too far away to sense God leading me?
5) I can know my purpose in God’s Kingdom- Rom 8 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
5) I can know my purpose in God’s Kingdom- Rom 8 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son…
We must know & believe that we are here for a purpose greater than paying bills, making it through & occupying space. LifeChange involves a belief that I am made for God’s Kingdom.
5) I can know my purpose in God’s Kingdom- Rom 8 LifeChange is a purposeful journey in God’s direction—is my life purposeful or am I wandering through life?
