Purpose The reason we are doing this project is to see If it matters what place and how much light radishes get. Hypothesis We think that the radishes will grow better in Shelly’s office because it will get fresh air and an even amount of sunlight.
Materials List • 49 radish seeds • 4 rubber gloves • Water • 9 Styrofoam • Potting soil • Measuring tape • 1 beaker
Procedures • We bought a package of radish seeds, gloves and potting soil from dollar tree. • We took 9 pots. • We labeled 9 pots. • We put half cup of soil in each of 9 pots. • We planted 5 radish seeds in each pot. • We watered all 9 plants with a beaker and each plant got 10 ml.
Procedures • Then we put 3 pots in our classroom, 3 pots in the science closet, and 3 in Shelly's office. • We waited 3 days until they sprouted. • On day 4 we measured and watered the plants each day and recorded growth on our sheet. • We repeated step for 4 more days.
Conclusion Ourhypothesis was wrong. We said that the radishes would grow better in Shelly's office. But they grew better in the science closet, Because the radishes were looking for light, so they keep pushing up for light until they get the light. If I did this experiment again we would put less light where we put the plants. There is one difference between the three plants, the ones in the science closet
Conclusion Are yellow with white stems and the ones in the classroom and Shelley's office are green with light green stems, Because in the science closet don’t have chlorophyll and won’t turn green, because there is sunlight In the science closet.
