  3. What is an Online Conferencing System (OCS)? • Interactive live web meeting place / virtual classroom • Voice, video, chat, share files, URLs, desktop • Moderated / hosted by one or more people • Conduct, record, and archive meetings / conferences • Uses VoIP

  4. Why use an OCS? • Connect users w/o geographic limits • Archive information available anytime, anywhere • Collaborate with work partners or people of similar interests • Facilitate interaction instead of transmit info
