  1. Battle of the Books 2017-2018

  2. What is Involved? • Students will form groups of three • Team members cannot change… even when people move. • YEAR LONG commitment • Turn in your permission slips as a team. I will not accept one permission slip at a time… I have to all three team members slips at a time. • Meet once a week during first 3 quarters and part of 4th quarter if your team is the top team. • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:40 – 8:10 • Work with BOB teacher and group to practice comprehension

  3. What is Involved? • Battles are during the first week after each break. • The top winning team at Jacobson will get to advance to the Regionals at City Hall. • The winner from that will get to advance to the finals at City Hall. • Read 4 books a quarter • All members will have to pay a fee of $25.00. • Fee includes access to all 12 books and a t-shirt.

  7. What do I do now? Grab an Information Sheet and Permission slip. Turn in Permission Slip and printed tax credit receipt to Mrs. Hoover or Mrs. Van by Thursday, August 3rd. Turn in everything as a team. There are limited team slots. So don’t wait until the last minute!
