What is the UNAIDS Unified Budget and Workplan? • Within UNSSP strategic framework • Two year joint plan on HIV/AIDS • Secretariat & Cosponsors • Identified programme priorities • Specified objectives, results and budget • All global & regional / intercountry HIV/AIDS activities & resources to support country response

  7. UNSSP Monitoring & Evaluation Plan UNSSP M&E plan is based on • UNSSP M&E framework • Includes midterm performance review covering 2001-2003 at • UN system wide • Individual agency level

  8. UNSSP Midterm Performance Review Review will assess UN system’s collective response: • Progress achieved in 9 UNSSP work areas and related objectives; • Major gaps in the UN system response; • Value added by UNSSP.

  9. UNSSP Midterm Performance Review • Review process being defined in consultation with 8 UNAIDS Cosponsors • Reports to be submitted to UNAIDS Programme Coordinating Board June 2004
