Constitution Era • 100: The first governing document of the United States • 200: The second governing document of the US • 300: The two sides that emerged when the Constitution debate started • 400: State two (2) reasons why politicians thought the Constitution should be ratified • 500: This document was created to make Anti-Federalists happy about the new Constitution. They consisted of the first ten amendments and primarily outlined rights of the people.
South Carolina • 100: The two separate regions of SC • 200: Which region had a wealthier economy? Why? • 300: Which region had more slaves? Why? • 400: Which region supported the US Constitution? Why? • 500: List changes occurred in SC with the new Constitution?
Early Nation • 100: Having pride and support in one’s nation • 200: This doubled the size of the US • 300: The act stopped the production of American exports • 400: List 2 pro-war arguments and 2 anti-war arguments • 500: This document outlined how new territories could become US states
War of 1812 • 100: Who won the War of 1812? • 200: List two (2) results of US victory in the war? • 300: President during the War of 1812 • 400: Northern states did not want to go to war and thought about seceding… (1) Define secede and (2) what is this event called? • 500: List 2 specific changes in South Carolina after the victory in the War of 1812
Era of Good Feelings • 100: Who was elected President after War of 1812 • 200: How did the victory in War of 1812 effect presidential elections? • 300: This was the new economic system of the US during the Era of Good Feelings • 400: Building these increased transportation and trade throughout the US • 500: People started moving to two (2) different kinds of places after the war. List them.
Random • 100: Term for taking over ships and crewmen • 200: Term for anything dealing with the sea • 300: Congressman who supported War of 1812 and also came up with the ‘American system’ • 400: How did Native Americans come into play during the War of 1812? • 500: This immigrant group came to the US typically poor and in need of a job. Many took this job moving further and further west, practiced this religion, and even populated this city which hosts the best University in the World.
