Paul Speaking to the Church of Corinth had to spread his word. Paul wanted people to learn from his teachings to get into the Kingdom of God. Doing sinful acts would not allow to enter the kingdom of God Incest, Sexual Immorality, Homosexuality, and unmarried sex were all considered a sin.
What is sexual immorality? “Sexual immoral is the ancient word porneia. It broadly refers to all type of sexual activities outside of marriage.” www.studylight.org/com/guz/v/iew.cgi?book=1co&chapter=005 Porneiamade a huge impact in Greek. Sinful activities were allowed.
Why was it a big deal? People wouldn’t be allowed in the Kingdom of God It was considered a sin to do things such as incest and unmarried sex. People in Corinth would take sin less seriously than most churches. People in Greek would take sin less seriously. Sexual Immoral was an accepted fact for the average person life in in Greek culture.
What did he do? Paul went to spread his beliefs in the church of Corinth. Paul told them that the activities they allow were considered sins.
Stopping sinful activities would help people get into the kingdom of God.
What would paul say today? • Paul would continue spreading his teachings. • He wouldn’t want anyone today at prep doing sinful activities. • Incest, homosexuality, and unmarried sex is still considered porneia today.
What should you do? Learn from this. Do the right thing and follow his teachings Don’t do sexual activities until you are older and married. The reward may be get into the kingdom of God.
