STEP ONE RESPOND TO GOD’S KINDNESS
God’s Kindness A. To what high standard is Jesus calling us here? Matthew 5:43-48 • Jesus is calling us to be “perfect,” even as perfect as God • By loving our enemies, by praying for those who mistreat us, by being kind to those who have not been kind to us
God’s Kindness B. How did David’s act of kindness reveal the character of God? 2 Sam. 9:1-13 • David’s kindness reveals that he sought to use God as the pattern for doing kindness • Let us reflect the kindness of God by being kind to others
