  3. UI Design and Themes Android Pie added colors to the ecosystem and made the icons with softer edges, giving aesthetic feels. Android 10 took this to new levels by introducing system-wide dark mode and themes enabling users to customize the font size, style, and icon shape.

  4. Messaging and Emojis While Android 9.0 was introduced with 157 new smile emojis, Android 10 is stocked with emojis of people from diferent professions, a new selection of foods and animals and facility of Smart Reply and Suggested actions.

  5. Battery Consumption With the dark mode and an upgraded adaptive battery setting, Android 10’s battery life is found to be longer than that of its predecessor- Android 9.0 Pie.

  6. Gesture Navigation Controls Android 10 removed the ‘Home button’ and added more intuitive gesture navigation options than what was ofered by Android 9. This necessitated Android app makers to build apps not requiring home button for interaction.

  7. Bluetooth, WiFi, and Other Connectivity Options Android 9 brought the functionality of connecting with 5 diferent devices, Android 10 has simplified the process of sharing a WiFi password. It has also come up with a shortcut to access network settings.

  8. Fast Share Android 10 has replaced Android Beam with Fast Share which employs the c ombination of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Direct to create a connection and transfer files faster than what was possible in Android 9.0 Pie.

  9. Notifications When comparing Android 10 vs Android 9 in terms of notifications, the diferences observed are:- App notifications now appear in the form of bubble chat heads. Can set notifications to Silent or on Alerting mode, depending on their urgency
