INTRODUCTION • We try and avoid junk food due to obvious health reasons • We often forget that these delicacies have health benefits • But what if I told you that junk food is not that bad after all? • Well here are some junk food products that actually have health benefits!
CHOCOLATES • Sinking your teeth into some heavenly chocolates actually helps you live longer • They also help regulate your immune system and cocoa is known for its anti anxiety properties • So go ahead and indulge!
STEAK • Steak is another mouth-watering protein-packed delight often segregated as junk food • It helps in controlling insulin levels and thus helps in controlling fat • So snack away, especially if you're watching your weight!
BEER • Though not really "junk food" beer is actually good for health • Clocking 150 - 200 calories per serving, beer is great if consumed in moderation • The antioxidant levels in beer are equivalent to that of wine • So cheers guys, drink up!
POPCORN • Just because it's low on calories, doesn't mean it's low on nutrition as well • It has high levels of polyphenols, which can protect against heart disease and certain cancers. • Research shows that popcorn has the highest polyphenol level of all snack foods!
BUTTER • This creamy temptation has quite a few healthy qualities • Fat in butter helps our bodies better absorb vitamins, like vitamin A, D, E, and K • So maybe a little butter won't be that bad
