  2. Describe the temples from the explorer’s point of view. Remember the 5 Ws. Can you use an embedded clause? Can you start a sentence with a verb or adverb?

  3. How are you travelling? What sound can you hear as you travel through the rain forest?

  4. In Victorian times people hunted for sport, animals were made extinct and some are still very rare now. Write a persuasive piece of writing persuading this man that hunting is wrong.

  5. Write a vivid description of him. Use similes and metaphors. e.g. His teeth were a row of broken gravestones Write down 3 questions you would ask him. How old do you think he is? Why does he cast the spell?

  6. Write the story from a monkey’s point of view. How does the explorer feel, now that he is a monkey?
