Ask a question. 2. Make a guess about the answer. 3. Do an experiment. 4. Make observations. 5. Draw conclusions. Let’s learn how to learn by exploring ice cubes! Question: Does warm water affect ice? Predict: Make a guess. Will the ice cubes in warm water melt differently than the ice cubes in cold water? Experiment: Put some ice cubes in warm water and some ice cubes in cold water. Observe:Watch the ice cubes closely. Conclusion: What happens???

  8. Start with questions. Why can I see my breath when it is cold? How do trees get a drink of water? • Help your child learn how to learn. • Encourage your child to ask questions. • Talk about possible answers. • Look for answers together: talk, read, and write! How much is one-half of something? What is your question?
