Masons Arms Knowstone

Its fair to say we are a little biased. We live in the village, and have spent many a fun lunchtime and evening in the Masons Arms. Its set in the heart of Knowstone village, has a great mix of customers visiting for the first time and some colourful local characters who maybe propping up the bar.<br>

  1. THE MASON’S ARMS-KNOWSTONE The Mason Arms is a must for 2 reasons, one, its a fantastic Michelin star restaurant with lovely rustic friendly bar. And two its 5 doors down or happy staggering distance  from Enfield House! Mark, Sarah and the team will give you a warm welcome, its certainly one of our favourites. Please make sure you book well in advance.

  2. Places to Eat • The Swan • The Swan at Bampton is a  classic English country inn, offering the very best dishes using seasonal, regional ingredients, peppered with top-notch customer service. • Open 7 days a week, this is another one of our favourites, only 10 miles away.

  3. TarrFarm • TarrFarm is set on the river Barle in a deep valley, in the heart of Exmoor.  Amazing countryside, great walks and you must take a walk over the ancient clapper bridge called Tarr Steps. • They do fantastic bar meals as well as delicious meals in the restaurant.

  4. Woods at Dulverton • Woods Bar and Restaurant is a charming pub tucked away in the rural town of Dulverton and surrounded by Exmoor’s countryside. • Great pub,  they stock Real Ales and an array of local spirits, and have an award-winning wine list for you to choose from!

  5. The London Inn • The pub comprises several small rooms, including a separate restaurant, that are all full of displays connected to field sports.  • There is a beer garden to the front and the pub is very dog friendly.

  6. The White Horse • Kick off your walking boots and unwind beside one of their  log fires. Choose from over 200 Malt Whisky’s along with a fine selection of local Real Ales.
