Everyone would know He was the Son of God! One of the striking things about Jesus’ life is the fact that He did miracles. Even His enemies agreed on this. The miracles are done through the power of God. Jesus miracles were called mighty works’ and wonders’. They often amazed those who saw them. But Jesus did not want to be seen as a mere ‘wonder-worker’. Jesus did not want people to follow Him just to see His miracles. He often told the people he cured to tell no one about it. John says that Jesus’ miracles were signs to show the people that He truly was the Son of God! Jesus gave his apostles power to do miracles. They continued to heal in the power of Jesus after Pentecost. Video Link Click Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaWI4-n0z_0

  5. JESUS TAUGHT NICODEMUS TO BE BORN AGAIN Jesus Is A Friend to Nicodemus Nicodemus was an important Jewish leader. He probably studied a lot, and he was wise. He tried to understand the laws God had given His people, the Jews. Nicodemus had heard about Jesus. Some people liked Jesus and listened to what He taught. But other people thought Jesus was very wrong, and they wanted to hurt Him. But Nicodemus didn’t just listen to what other people told him. He wanted to find out for himself what was right. One night Nicodemus came to Jesus to ask Him about His teaching. Nicodemus was confused about some things he had heard Jesus say. It was at night. Jesus may have been ready to climb into His bed. He could have said, “Come back tomorrow, Nicodemus.” Or He could have yawned while Nicodemus talked. But Jesus didn’t. Jesus listened to Nicodemus and answered his questions. Just as Jesus took time for the sick, and poor, and the children, He took time for this important leader of God’s people. He wanted all people everywhere to be saved. “Why do you ask me for water?” the woman said. “If you knew who I am, you would ask me for a drink,” Jesus told her. “I can give you living water.” “You do not have a bucket to draw water from the well,” answered the woman. Jesus explained to her that the Savior could give eternal life. The woman said that she believed a Savior was coming who would tell the people all things. “I am He,” Jesus said. She was very surprised. Jesus answered all her questions. She was so excited that she forgot to draw water for her pitcher. She left the pitcher at the well and ran to the town. When she found her friends, she exclaimed, “Come, see a man who told me all about myself. Can this be the Christ?” Her friends invited Jesus to stay with them. Jesus talked with them for two days. 9. SERMON ON MOUNTAIN TEACHES TRUE HAPPINESS ---HOW TO HAVE A GODLY LIFE Jesus visited the towns scattered through the countryside of Galilee, speaking in each about the kingdom of heaven. News of Jesus spread, and people traveled long distances, bringing the sick to be healed. But as Jesus looked into the faces gathered around Him, He saw much more than sickness and disease. He saw the fear and sin that kept people from feeling close to God. He wanted to tell them how to live so that each day might be filled with joy and contentment. So Jesus went up on a hillside and began to speak. A huge crowd gathered. The people stayed to listen for hours. “Don’t worry all the time,” Jesus said. “How you live your life is much more important than what you eat or what you wear. If you think first of what God wants, He will take care of you, just as He takes care of the flowers and the birds. “God is more important than money. Don’t pile up money here on earth where robbers can steal it. Make serving God your treasure, and He will store it in heaven for you.” These teachings are part of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. The words are as true today as they were for the people on that hillside in Galilee so many years ago. Video Link Click Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3nN9-C1yKU

  10. A PARABLE IS AN EARTHLY STORY WITH A HEAVENLY MEANING A parable is a story about earthly things that teaches a lesson about heavenly things. Jesus often used parables because the stories caught people’s attention. Even folks who were not religious could listen to a parable and learn from it. Sometimes, the meaning of a parable puzzled people, and they had to think about the story for a long time. The Good Samaritan, The Prodigal Son, The Good Soil and the House Built on the Rock are some of the parables Jesus told.
