Purpose Geographic Areas EODP To promote socio-economic development in rural Eastern Ontario, encourage a competitive and diversified regional economy, and contribute to the successful development of business and job opportunities and sustainable self-reliant communities.

Business Planning Eligible Recipients • All registered businesses and non profit organizations Eligible Projects • Research and R&D Initiatives • Business, Marketing, Strategic & Export plans • Feasibility studies • Trade Show attendance and other activities that stimulate business Eligible Costs • Consultant fees, travel/meeting costs, materials & supplies, trade show expenses **Max $5,000 per project, and reimburse max 90% of eligible costs**

Skills Development Eligible Recipients • All registered businesses and non profit organizations Eligible Projects • On-the-job training, outsourced or in-house training, workshops and, seminars • For new hires or existing employees Eligible Costs • In-house wages, trainer’s wages & benefits, travel expenses, software/textbooks/manuals related to training, registration fees, course purchases, professional fees, certification fees **50% of eligible costs are reimbursed. The maximum contribution with respect to any one employee will normally not exceed $5,000 with a maximum of $25,000 available to any one Secondary Recipient.**

Youth Intern Eligible Recipients • All registered businesses and non profit organizations Eligible Projects • Intern wages and mercs • Interns must hold a degree or diploma from a post secondary institution and be under 30 years of age Eligible Costs • Interns wages and benefits; travel; related costs

Local Initiatives • Eligible Recipients • Non-profit organizations • Eligible Projects • community-based economic development projects; research projects,marketing and promotional activities; tourism events; seminars/workshops, technology/innovation projects; and, small scale capital projects • Eligible Costs • consulting and professional fees; marketing and advertising coststravel; and, equipment • *EODP reimburses up to 100% of total eligible costs and • projects will not normally exceed $10,000*

Community Capacity • Eligible Recipients • All registered businesses and non profit organizations • Eligible Projects • Community-based initiatives which stimulate business and community development Demonstrate broad support from the respective community; and offer sustainable and measurable economic benefits to the local and/or regional economy • Eligible Costs • consulting/professional fees; marketing and advertising costs; travel; • and, project costs • *Up to 100% of total Eligible Costs are reimbursed*
