1. Project BG041PO001-3.3.07-002 “Students Practices", of Human Resources Development Operational Program, co-financed from the European Social Fund (ESF) Assoc. Professor PhD Eng. Professor PhD Kalinka Velichkova – functional experts • Description of the project • The project provides quality professional training in real working conditions, facilitates the transition to the workplace, and increases the successful implementation of the students on the labor market. The aim is to build strong partnerships between education and training institutions and business. • Implementation and management of the student practices is done through a web-based system.It made major activities such as recruiting employers, posting vacancies, application of the students. • Businesses participate actively in the planning process and needs analyses of practical training of future employees. Benefits During the realization of the project were created and tested in a real environment: (1) Methodological materials - a program for training, reporting and evaluation forms; (2) Analytical reports on the practical training with recommendations to the Ministry of Education, Universities and Employers; (3) Processed statistics for hands-on training in different universities, sectors involved, specialties, employers; (4) Manuals for the training of students, academic tutors from universities and mentors of the employing organizations. At this stage over 100 companies offer practices for the students from MGU “St. Iv. Rilski” and the students successfully graduated the practice are 490. On almost 20% of them were offered a job and many students already signed their first employment contract. Registered students from the university, wishing to participate in the project in the future, are more than 500.
