Enterprise Application and Information • The EAI forum’s goal to drive the understanding and implementation of CIM messages to support both intra-company messaging and efficient and effective communication of the interconnected electric power networks in North America and Europe. • Establish a professional forum for the exchange of information and best practices on IEC CIM messaging and data sharing. • Provide feedback to the IEC Working Groups (13 and 14) on proposals, papers, and business issues related to message exchange of the IEC CIM. • Provide real-world experience and business requirements for enterprise application integration for IEC CIM information and exchange. • Communicate and raise awareness of EAI issues to vendors and customers using IEC CIM information and messaging. • Investigate and disseminate information and best practices in design and message exchange technology relevant to IEC CIM. • Submit and review message designs that may be on interest to the wider community • Provide help desk expertise on CIM EAI inquiries.
WG Status • No activity between Cimug meetings • Some conclusions from previous meetings About what should be done: • Exchange best practices and difficulties in using CIM and be a source of request and issues for the various TC57 working groups • Contribute to finalize the methodology to derive messages, which has been presented so far based on 4 layers. • Consider usage of tools (ex CIMTool)
