November 7, 2014 • “The Sixth Commandment summons spouses to practice permanent and exclusive fidelity to one another (USCCA p. 405).” • God established marriage as a reflection of His love and fidelity to us. • Emotional and sexual fidelity are essential to the commitment made in marriage between husband and wife.

  3. November 7, 2014 • “The Sixth Commandment summons spouses to practice permanent and exclusive fidelity to one another (USCCA p. 405).” • The vows made to the couple are binding until the death of one of the spouses.

November 7, 2014 • Chastity is the virtue whereby one successfully integrates one’s sexuality “within the person and thus the inner unity in his bodily and spiritual being (CCC #2337).” • Chastity unites our sexuality with our entire human nature. • “Chastity includes an apprenticeship in self-mastery which is a training in human freedom (USCCA p. 405).”

November 7, 2014 • Chastity is the virtue whereby one successfully integrates one’s sexuality “within the person and thus the inner unity in his bodily and spiritual being (CCC #2337).” • Chastity helps the person to temper their sexual desire, not becoming a slave to them. • Chastity grows and blossoms in friendship.

What happens to society and each one of us if the Church yield’s to cultural pressures?
