  4. Choice 3 of Social Studies Project: 1.Students are given individual North Carolina map puzzle pieces of the names of 34 specific counties where gold sites are located . Teacher refers to previous web site for this information. 2.Students with like puzzle pieces are grouped and research individual puzzle piece counties in terms of the history of gold discovery/mining. 3.Students in groups come up with noun, verb, adverb, and adjective concerning their county location and class makes bar graph on board. 4. Students in groups compose power point presentations (one slide per group) descriptive paragraphs using their research information concerning history/discovery of gold mining/ minting in North Carolina. 5.Teacher creates class power point quilt containing all student group slides.
