Group Work Roles • Summarizer – For each new idea, create a one sentence summary of the information provided. • Questioner – For each heading, create a question that seeks a deeper understanding of the information. • Connector – For each new idea, make a connection to your own life, movies, books, tv, or anything else.

  5. Reflection • In the first article, Nicholas Carr says, “We are not thinking, we are browsing.” What does this mean to you? What do you think the difference is?

  6. Reflection • In the first article, John Seely Brown says, “I think kids today are afraid of being bored.” Do you think this is true? If so, is this good or bad?

  7. Reflection • In the second article, Christopher Lynn said, “When we aren’t used to having downtime, it results in anxiety.” • According to the information presented in the text, why does this occur?

  8. Written Reflection • “I find that the quietest times of my life speak the loudest.” Respond to this quote. What does this mean? Do you think this has true meaning, or do you disagree with this statement?
