The meaning of al qadaa and al qadar • Al Qadaa “the perfect command, decree, ruling and perfect accomplishment and execution of that” • Al Qadar “Allah’s knowledge of the future of His Creation” In fact the two terms are interchangeable when used individually, but when used together Al Qadar means the predestination of things, and when matter occurs, it is then called Qadaa.
Some Textual proofs for al Qadar • “Verily We have created all things with Qadar” 54:49 • “And the commandment of Allah is a determined Qadr” 33:38 • “He has created everything, and has measured it exactly according to its due measure.” 25:2
Textual proofs for al qadar • “No slave of Allah will believe until he believes in Al Qadar, its good and bad, is from Allah and until he knows that what has befallen him was not going to pass him by, and that what has passed him by was not going to befall him.”

Al Ilm Allah’s Knowledge • Verily, Allah is the Knower of Everything 8:75 • And Allah comprehends all things in His Knowledge 65:12 • With Him are the keys of the unseen, none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written is a Clear Record” 6:59 • Had Allah known of any good in them, He would have made them listen, and even if He had made them listen, they would but have turned away, averse. 8:23 • Allah knows best with whom to place His Message. 6:124 • He knew what you knew not, and He granted besides that a near victory 48:27
Al Kitabah the writing • Do you not know that Allah knows all that is in the heaven and on the earth? Verily, it is all in the Book. Al Masee’ah the will of Allah • O Allah, Possessor of the Kingdom, You give the Kingdome to whom you will, and you take the kingdom from whom you will, you ehdue with honour whom you will and you humiliate whom you will. In yours hands is the good. Verily! You are able to do all things. 3:26 • Verily Allah does what He wills 22:14
Al Khalq The Creation • Verily! Allah is the Creator of everything, and He is the disposer of all affairs.” 39:60 The Two Extremes: Al Jabariyya: man has no real will and no real action and is like a feather in the wind Al Qadariyyah: man is the creator of his own actions by his ability and by his will.
