To spray or not to spray

2. The painted apple moth is a pest but how do we get rid of it . Ever since the separation of Gondwanaland , New Zealand has been invaded by many things . One of the most recent invaders were the painted apple moth . They are a pest because they are eating our native bush. The PAM is an Australian native and have thought to have travailed to New Zealand by a shipping container. The painted apple moth destroys plants by eating their leaves and is a serious threat to New Zealand’s gardens, crops, forests and native bush. MAF estimates that if the moth is not eradicated it could cost the country $350 million over the next twenty years. But now they started spraying it will cost more than that in one year for nothing because the spray does not actually work. The spray is also be a health risk to some people who are allergic to what is in the spray. Aerial spraying is the most reliable way to reach moth larvae according to MAF but it just means they are wasting more spray and also they are spraying people! The situation

3. I strongly think they should not spray because the spray itself has not been tested and also some people have been given false information about what is in the spray. There are also some people getting sick, if they are around the spray. But the doctors say it will not harm anyone, how have they proved that? Even worse there are some people that have to leave their houses because of the spray. Why? Why should they spray? The kids at school are getting sprayed but they are not caterpillars. They are getting sick and may die. How would you feel if you were being treated like a caterpillar? The spray is not actually working yet. There are some caterpillars still found in the zone where they have been spraying. What do you think? Would you rather spray and hurt not just the caterpillars but people too! Or would you find a way to get rid of the caterpillars with out me or you getting sick. Just think about it. There are people out there that do not care about you or me. Think. Just think about it. Would you like to not be cared about. There are other ways to get rid of caterpillars like collecting them by hand. But instead they would rather risk other peoples lives just to get rid of a silly tiny caterpillar . There are other ways but instead they just think about what gets rid of them faster not what is better to get rid of them. They are wasting all of their and our money to make a spray that does not even work, what is the point in that. Wasting all their money for nothing. A five year old would know better than that. That is really dumb. Why? Why waste all your money for nothing . Would you? I know I wouldn't. Some people think the spray is working. But how? How do they prove that? You may be on the opposite side from me, but just remember that the spray is not just harming the caterpillars it is harming everything and everyone that is around it. I AM A PEST BUT HOW DO YOU GET RID OF ME ? My own opinion

There are more people that are on my side they believe that there are other ways to get rid of them without harming anyone or anything. 10 year old Shaun says she hates the spray and strongly thinks they should stop spraying. She says it is not working because they are just making the spray zone bigger and they are wasting too much money. 12 year old Tamara said that she personally thinks that they should not spray at all. She says there are other alternatives to spraying. She says that it is horrible that people that have nothing to do with spraying have to leave their houses because of the inactive spray. It is possible that the spray is damaging our native plants and animals. She says think before you spray. 11 year old Verda said that the spray is not working because it has not been tested on the painted apple moth it has been tested on the Gypsy moth she said worst of all the spray is not actually working. 12 year old Hannah said that areal spraying is not actually a very sensible idea because the spray is not just being applied on the caterpillars it is being applied on humans and animals and plants around it. There are people out there that want to spray an untested product on you. I am going to leave you with one question . . . Would you support someone that does not care about you? Or Would you rather support someone like me who knows what they are talking about? WHAT DO YOU THINK ? Continuing on my opinion

5. Just remember that the spray is not just effecting the caterpillars it is effecting everything and anyone around it !!!!!
