  4. Close up/Elimination of Space A close up or elimination of space of a photograph is an image that is taken at close range, leaving little or no background space.

  10. Leading Lines Some photographers use leading lines to create a meaningful composition. Leading lines are used to draw the viewer’s eye through a photograph. All the lines in the photograph lead up to the main subject/focus object in the photograph.

  16. Symmetry/Balance Symmetry in a photograph is where both sides of the photograph are the same (symmetrical) or the photograph can be identical from every angle/side. Balance in an image is the way that the elements (lines, shapes, colours, or/and textures) of the photograph are arranged.

  19. Frame Within a Frame A frame within a frame is when there is an object that creates an archway or a frame in the photograph, that highlights the subject in the middle/the main object.
