  2. Features of Contemporary Terrorism • Terrorism will be with us for the foreseeable future. • Terrorism is one of the most important and dangerous problems facing mankind today. • Terrorism can occur anywhere. • Terrorists will increase their use of suicide killings.

  3. Features of Contemporary Terrorism • Terrorism will increasingly involve Islamic ideological extremism • Anger against the US increases terrorism • Terrorists are increasingly more likely to use nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons • There is no agreed upon “root cause” of terrorism

  11. The Quranic Concept of War Terror struck into the hearts of the enemies is not only a means, it is the end in itself. Once a condition of terror into the opponent’s heart is obtained hardly anything is left to be achieved. It is the point where the means and the end meet and merge. Terror is not a means of imposing decision upon the enemy; it is the decision we wish to impose upon him.
