This project focuses on understanding and addressing the health disparities among Travellers, highlighting the alarming statistics of stillbirths, infant mortality, and premature deaths. Factors like mental health, isolation, domestic violence, poverty, and substance abuse contribute to their poor health outcomes. Research reveals low self-esteem, lack of employment opportunities, and societal discrimination as major challenges. The project aims to combat negative attitudes and stereotypes towards Travellers, promoting inclusivity and better healthcare access. The before-and-after comparison of a Belfast Traveller site emphasizes the need for deeper societal acceptance and support.
