Technical Support Center • Mission • To provide tools, methodologies, technical support and assistance for the development of Total Maximum Daily Load analysis and TMDL Implementation • Insure technical consistency for TMDL Development across the nation • Clients: • EPA Regional Offices, State and Local Governments, Contractors working with EPA and/or States

  3. Expertise • Members • Center In-House Staff • Members of Technical Advisory Group • Experts throughout ORD, Office of Water and/or Regional Offices • Purpose: • Provide Access to Regions and States to Technical Experts to Guide Model Application and/or TMDL Development

Technical Support • Members • Center In-House Staff • Members of Technical Advisory Group • Experts throughout ORD, Office of Water or Regional Offices • Purpose: • Technical Review • Technical Advisory Group • Model Application • End Point Determination • Best Management Practices • Post TMDL Implementation • Data Analysis/Supplemental Data

  5. Model Distribution • Members: • Center Epicenter – NERL, Athens, GA • www.epa.gov/athens/wwqtsc • Purpose: • Provide a “Virtual” location to access all TMDL Tools, Models, Databases • Maintain Links to Other Tools • Web Based Deployment • E-Mail Based Discussion Groups

  6. Model Maintenance and Development • Provide Coordinated Effort in the Development and Enhancement of TMDL Tools • Put ORD Research into Practice • Provide Model Modifications for particular TMDL problem/pollutant • Give Models and Tools a “Life”
